Katie and Alex are one of the fantastic couples we met during the 2021 season. They flew from Ontario to spend their honeymoon (that was actually before the wedding) in the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains. They contacted us a few months before their trip to book a pre-wedding session with 4Eyes Photography. They wished for a session at Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, and we committed to making that happen. As always, we choose sunrise for the best possible lighting conditions.

As their date was getting closer, we checked the forecast and had to make a last-minute change to our plan. Instead of sunrise, we decided to go for sunset the day before. Lucky us, Katie hired a very flexible and amazing HMUA @frenchbraiding to do her hair and makeup.

We started shooting at Lake Louise about 1,5 hours before the sunset. We had excellent weather conditions with a beautiful dramatic sky. Not to mention that the following day did not look encouraging for an outdoor session. It was raining almost the entire day, and while drinking morning coffee in our bed, we were delighted about the decision we had made the day before. After Lake Louise, we headed to Moraine Lake that was as busy as always. However, as local Banff Wedding Photographers, we have our secret spot that no one dares to go to without our permission (just kidding, the place requires a little advanced hike, that’s the reason we are all by ourselves there).

The pre-wedding session with Katie and Alex was our second last this year before winter closure, and honestly, we could not ask for better conditions.
